First Diploma in Vehicle Technology First Diploma
This course comprises nine core and specialist units, covering knowledge, understanding and competencies necessary for employment within the sector. The qualification has a flexible design to provide progression opportunities into a technician role within industry or on to further education through the BTEC Nationals. Whilst the course is centred on the Motorsport Industry (including race car project work), knowledge gained is directly transferable to the retail motor industry.

Students will be selected through our interview process and completion of an initial assessment. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.

Assessment:
Assessment is by written assignment and observations.

Progression Routes:
Progression onto BTEC National Diploma in Motor Vehicle Repair & Technology/Motorsport Level 3.

Career Options:
Within the motorsport industry, mainstream car industry or progression onto university.
