Management Accounting Information for Decision Making Management Accounting for Planning and Control
Accounting for Specialised Transactions Financial Reporting and Analysis
Economics and other Accounting related optional subjects.

Entry Requirements
At least one Higher plus three other passes at Standard Grade or successful completion of a National Certificate course including appropriate Accounting Units. A place on the course will be subject to interview.

Duration
2 years full-time.

Progression Routes
Direct links to the BA Accounting Degrees at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Glasgow Caledonian University. Many careers in banking, finance and accountancy are open to HND holders. Accountants are required to study for professional ACCA or CIMA to status of Certified Chartered Accountant through professional exams and work experience. HND holders may be exempt from certain exams, depending on the specific area of accounting they would like to train in.
