Hospitality, Travel and Tourism: BTEC First Diploma
This level 2 course gives you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised, vocationally specific qualification. The course is equivalent to four GCSE grades A*-C.

Course details
There are six coursework units, all of which need to be passed in order to gain the qualification.

How is it assessed?
Each unit is assessed by the teacher. Some of the assessed work in each unit is moderated internally and externally. Regular feedback on assignments is given by teachers and the course tutor. All units are assignment based.

Course duration
One year full-time.

What do I need to study this subject?
You should have GCSE grades A*-D, preferably in English Language, or if progressing from a level 1 course, a Merit is the required qualification. A good record of attendance and punctuality is also necessary.

Where can this lead me?
If students achieve a Merit they may apply for the next level course, or employment in travel and tourism-related industries.
