Is the course for me?
This course will give you a basic overview of the exciting and diverse sector that is Hospitality, Travel & Tourism industry.

What will I learn?
You will learn about the Hospitality,Travel & Tourism industry. This will include Starting Work in and Working in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Customer Service, Planning Trips and Food Service with a Smile. Part of this will be practical sessions where you demonstrate the skills you are learning in your theory lessons. You will receive weekly one to one and group tutorial sessions as well as attending key skills lessons. You will be required to purchase a restaurant uniform and a uniform (suit) for lessons, details will be discussed near the start of the course. The course will consist of many trips around the UK including, for example, Blackpool and Manchester. All students are required to attend a compulsory organised overseas residential visit which will be part subsidised by the college. We also recommend that all students have a fully valid passport.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a combination of practical activities and written coursework, completion of key skills portfolio and examinations.

What can I do after the course?
You can progress onto level 2 - either the BTEC 1st Diploma in Travel & Tourism or the BTEC 1st Diploma in Hospitality.
