This course will introduce knowledge, understanding and various skills for learners wishing to enter a career within the travel, tourism & hospitality industry.

  • Using Displays in Travel
  • & Tourism The course balances theory, practical and vocational experience

    Vocational Relevance:
    The course is recognised within the travel and tourism industry. Appropriate future career steps may include travel agency or tour operation work, holiday resort representatives, visitor attraction staff or airport/airline staff or work within the hospitality industry.

    Work Experience / Practical Experience:
    A period of work experience will be arranged as part of the course.

    Attendance Requirements:
    Full-time. Details regarding expected course timetable and attendance will be given at interview, if available.

    Applicants should have:

  • Entry Process:
    All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor, allowing you to find out more and check that the course is the best option for you. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts. Students may be asked to complete a short assessment during the personal interview.

    Assessment:
    Course work based- no formal examinations. Assessments will be through projects, assignments, observations, practical assessments and presentations.

    Progression Routes:
    Progress onto the BTEC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism or other level 2 qualifications.

    Career Options:
    Appropriate future career steps may include travel agency or tour operation work, holiday resort representatives, visitor attraction staff or airport/airline staff or work within the hospitality industry.
