About this course
ICT can be taken at AS Level without prior study of the subject. Normally students 16 - 19 years of age will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C including Maths and English. Entry for mature students without formal qualifications is at the discretion of the Faculty.

Course Features
Project work based on everyday applications, such as Databases, Spreadsheets and Web Authoring.
AS Level can be taken without prior study of the subject.

The theory will be assessed through two written papers, one in January and one in June.
Career Prospects and Progression
A Levels provide an excellent basis for progression to Higher level qualifications such as degrees or Higher National Diplomas. Virtually all employers need IT professionals. Most large organisations have their own specialist IT departments and there are opportunities for IT specialists in every employment sector including, Manufacturing, Retailing, Financial Services, Transportation and Public Bodies.
