The Programme
The aim of the Introductory Diploma is to give you a broad knowledge of IT systems and also to develop the personal qualities you will need to be a successful IT professional. The course has eight units. These cover a range of IT subjects and will also improve your skills at finding employment. All units must be achieved to gain a pass. Higher grades can also be achieved (Merit or Distinction).

Progression / Careers
This is a Level 1 course in IT. The aim is to give you a good introduction to IT. You may progress to a Level 2 course (GCSE standard) such as the BTEC First Diploma for ICT Practitioners, and then onto Level 3 (A Level standard) such as the BTEC National Diploma.
With further training or study, students go into careers such as:
