IT for the Office (Level 2)
Course Content
This one year, level 2 course is aimed at preparing students for all aspects of IT in an office environment. It enables students to retrain, or update their skills for work in a modern office workplace.
The course covers IT Skills for the modern office, training in MS Office for beginner to intermediate level and programme of study to meet career aspirations.
The course hours are 16 per week, spread over 4 days.
Teaching/Assessment
All work is assessed through coursework and short exams.
Students completing the course will achieve the OCR (RSA) Intermediate IT qualification and the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
Progression
Successful completion of this course, together with a high level of commitment will allow progression onto the BTEC First Diploma IT Practitioners, subject to IT staff approval.
Students completing this course could also enter employment in an office environment.
