Entry Requirements
Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs at Grades C or above or a BTEC First Diploma or other relevant qualifications.

Course Content
This eighteen unit programme demonstrates a modern and innovative approach to the World of Business and includes the following areas of study: Exploring Business Activity Investigating Business Resources Introduction to Marketing Effective People, Communication and Information Plus fourteen further specialist units. If you are accepted onto this course without a Grade C or above in Maths and/or English you will be required to complete the relevant Essential Skills qualification. This will be a compulsory part of your timetable.
Course Aims
The aims of the BTEC National Diploma in Business are to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment in a range of business areas and to give them a qualification that will enable them to progress to higher education.
Special Features
A range of industry visits, including a residential visit will form an integral part of the programme.
Assessment Methods
This course will be assessed by assignments.
Achievements/Qualifications
On successful completion students can achieve a BTEC National Diploma which is equivalent to 3 GCE A level passes. Levels of success similar to A level grades are reported on successful completion. e.g. a BTEC National student who achieves 3 overall Distinction grades has achieved the same as an A level student who achieves 3 GCE grade A, A levels.
Progression Routes
This course will prepare you for study at HND or Degree level or for employment in a range of Business Careers e.g. Banking, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resource Managements, e Business, Estate Agency, Public Relations, Insurance etc.
