This is a practical course which has options in Dance, Drama and Music. Units include: Performing Arts Business Acting Auditions Mime Performing to an Audience Movement in Performance Live Performance Workshop Dance Performance Choreographic Principles Theatre for Children Music Performance Techniques

Special Features
The delivery of the course takes place in a state-of-thearts drama studio and in a professional recording studio Education and training for current or potential performing arts employees in a practical and realistic way. Coursework plays a significant role in the overall assessment with students producing demo DVDs of their work. Students have the opportunity to concentrate on a few skills or take on a new skill.
Assessment Methods
Case studies, assignments and work-based assessments, along with projects, performance observation and time-constrained assessments. Assignments are designed using realistic scenarios which gives the student the opportunity to make maximum use of practical activities as part of the continuous assessment. Twice a year students will perform in a full-scale production as well as being part of a touring company to local schools.
