The AS modules are designed to give you a thorough background in the English Legal System. You will study how Law is made, how and where it is enforced and by whom and how it is financed. There is also an introduction to criminal law and sentencing and negligence.

The subject is for anyone who wants to learn about law, whether as a personal interest or to help you with your career or job, or as preparation for studies in higher education. You do not have to have studied Law at GCSE level. You may need GCSE English at grade C.

Progression:
To the second year to study the Advanced A2 Modules, which together with the AS Modules make up the full A' Level -(see A2 Law). Students qualify for this progression by achieving at least a grade D at AS level.
