Course Details
This course is suitable for a student who would like a career in the
media industry and hopes to progress onto a higher level course.

You will gain a working knowledge of the media area and learn how to put this knowledge into practice through working on
assignments. Prospective students must show an active interest in Films, Television, Photography and Advertising. The course is suitable for those who enjoy continuous hands-on coursework.

What will I study?
You will study 7 units:

· Introduction to Media Industries

· Research for Media Production

· Introduction to Media Audiences and Products

· Video Production

· Print Production

· Photography Techniques

· Animation Techniques

The Media lecturing team all have industry experience, from
Photography, Newspapers, Radio and T.V. Production to
Post-Production.

Level: 2

Entry Requirements:
Progression/Careers: Students who successfully complete the course and attain an overall Merit or Distinction grade and have GCSE English at C or above may progress onto the Level 3 BTec National Diploma in Media.

Costs/Equipment: Studio Fee between £25-£35,
plus you will need to purchase books and pay for visits outside of College
