Attendance
You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm.

Course Description
The course includes a wide variety of medical topics. A work placement opportunity offers the chance to utilise your knowledge and skills in a practical environment.

Course Structure
The programme consists of 2 main qualifications:
  • City & Guilds L2 Certificate in Medical Administration and
  • L1 and L2 Text Processing units
  • Employment Skills and key skills as appropriate.


Course Assessment
  • The Medical Administration qualification consists of 4 units.
  • 2 units are assessed by means of externally set and marked written tests and
  • 2 units are assessed by means of externally set and internally marked assignments.
  • The Text Processing units are assessed by means of externally set and marked time constrained examinations.


You need to be prepared to spend some time out of College on assignments and research.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.

Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.
