Is the course for me?
This course is aimed at candidates who want to work in the automotive sector to gain a level 1t echnical certificate, which will give them the basic knowledge and understanding of principles involved in motor vehicle maintanence. This qualification can then be used for further progress on the VRQ route or Apprenticeship programmes.

What will I learn?
VRQ's have been designed to provide qualifications in unit form and at level 1 four units must be achieved. These are; 1. V1 Contribute to Workplace good housekeeping 2. V2 Ensure your own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety 3. V76 Introduction to Vehicle Technology and Workshop Processes 4. V77 Carry out Basic Routine Maintenance

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by a number of practical tasks/assessments throughout the year and two online tests. All of these are based on the theory and practical tasks you will complete throughout the year.

What can I do after the course?
You can progress onto a level two motor vehicle qualification or a modern apprenticeship via full time employment.
