Course Details:
The course is made up of 16 units, 7 core units, which everyone takes and 9 specialist units. The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in depth. At least 50% of this qualification must be made up of H2 units.

Career Progression:
A key progression path for BTEC Higher National Certificate and Diploma learners is to the second or third year of a degree or honours degree programme, depending on the match of the BTEC Higher National units to the degree programme in question. Alternatively, successful candidates can enter employment or undertake further more specialist study.

The BTEC Higher Nationals in Music Production have been developed with career progression and recognition by professional bodies in mind. Details of exemptions and professional body recognition are published on the Edexcel website, under the qualification title.

Other Information:
Each unit is internally assessed and graded by lecturers. Grades awarded are pass, merit or distinction. There is no overall grade awarded for this qualification.
