Summary
This course is a vocational education/training programme covering all aspects of audio engineering, studio production and live sound production. Students will work with highly skilled music industry professionals in a modern recording studio environment, learning sequencing, recording, mixing and mastering and studio management. As well as working closely with the Music students, a proportion of the work is producing/engineering for clients of the studio including local and national bands, solo artists and songwriters. In addition to recording, a number of live concerts are designed and produced throughout the year, both on campus and at venues around Bury St Edmunds. Some evening sessions will be required for gigs/shows. This is a full time course and students will be expected to attend College on at least 3 days per week with 2 days home study. This programme should interest anyone hoping for a career as a Recording Engineer, Producer, Live Sound Engineer or Songwriter.
