National Certificate in Horticulture - Landscape ( 1year)
This one year full-time programme is designed to provide a breadth of knowledge and skills at craft level across a range of horticultural subject areas. A heavy emphasis is placed on acquiring practical skills demanded by the industry.
The National Certificate programme is nationally recognised by the horticultural industry and the qualification also provides evidence towards the underpinning knowledge of NVQ†s. Employment opportunities include craft level positions with organisations and enterprises such as The National Trust, private gardens, grounds maintenance and domestic landscape contractors, local authorities, garden centres as well as self employment. The programme also provides a firm foundation for those seeking a career change.
Programme Content
The programme is modular and consists of five core modules and five specialist modules. Core modules are assessed by an external examination whilst specialist modules are assessed via practical assessments and skills tests.
