NC Digital Media and Computing
Aimed at: Young people leaving school or adults who have limited computing experience who will be looking for progression to other, more specialised NC level computing programmes.
Additional Information: This new computing programme allows students to study computing from introductory (Access 3) level to Intermediate 2. Students come together to learn the core computer skills (Mandatory Units), but can then diversify into the more specialist areas of ICT. For examples, a student who was interested in PC Maintenance and Repair would choose to study units under 'Computer Hardware Applications' area, whilst someone interested in writing programmes would choose 'Computer Software Applications'. Similarly, applicants keen to be involved in web design or multimedia would elect to study a collection of the relevant units.
