About this course

. Three Standard grades (or equivalent) at band 3 or above (one of which must be English), or NC Introduction to Childcare, although all applicants will be considered in terms of experience. . A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Check is essential . All applicants will be invited to attend an informal interview.

Articulation:
Successful students may progress to NC Early Education and Childcare at Anniesland College, subject to satisfactory references and practical training placement report.

Careers:
This course embeds the National Progression Award in Playwork and childcare, successful completion of which provides candidates with eligibility for registration as a Support Worker with the Scottish Social Services Council. This may lead to further vocational training and/or potential employment within certain posts in the childcare sector.
