NPTC Foundation Horticulture
Level Entry 2 or Level Entry 3 | The Centre for Rural and Equine Studies | Full-Time

Course Description
This is a practical course for people with little or no experience in horticulture or who need to improve their confidence or their reading and writing skills before moving on to another course. This full-time, two year course allows you to gain a basic introductory grounding in horticulture for students who have yet to achieve a Level 1 qualification. You are expected to arrange and undertake a weekly placement to develop industrial awareness and progression opportunities. You will need a pair of steel toe capped boots and warm, casual clothes suitable for gardening in. During the course you will develop the skills required to assist with a range of horticultural and gardening operations. The qualification can be achieved at Entry 2 or Entry 3. Alternatively you may progress from one level to another over a three year period.
