This course will enable you to build up their skills and knowledge for a successful progression on to the Level 2 Electrical qualification.

What will I be learning?

As a student on this course you will learn the following course content:

Understanding working in engineering, understanding cutting forming and assembling engineering materials, understanding electrical installations, understanding basic mathematics and science used in engineering, understanding working with customers, working safely in an engineering environment and working efficiently and effectively in engineering. Using and communicating technical information.

How will I learn?

Your teaching and learning will be delivered within two main environments.
The classroom environment where most of the theoretical knowledge is taught, however, some practical investigations are undertaken within the classroom.
Most of the practical aspects of electrical installation are taught and assessed in the workshop.
Assessment is carried out continually as you progress through the course. You are encouraged to make use of your time away from College.

You may also have to achieve Key Skills in Application of Number Level 1.

What can I do afterwards?

Your successful completion of this course will enable entry onto the level 2 Electrical Installation 2330 programme, subject to an initial assessment.
