Practical and theoretical aspects of a wide range of competences necessary for todays industry. You may also have the opportunity of work experience with a potential employer.

Method of assessment:
By observed competence presentation of underpinning knowledge evidence and some examinations.

Progression opportunities and careers:
Obtaining the NVQ 2 in Performing Engineering Operations allows entry to apprentice training within industry within the UK, to further education and work.

Entry requirements:
A minimum of 2 GCSE grade D or above or successful achievement at a level 1 programme.

Additional qualifications studied:
All full time students will undertake a combination of additional qualifications that will enhance their study skills and those skills that will be important in employment.

Additional costs:
Materials - 40 Students will be expected to purchase their own safety boots (approx 25) for workshop activities.
