By studying this course you will broaden your understanding of the society you live in. You will also have an opporunity to undertake a relevant social study.
Will I have to sit any examinations?
You will have 3 examinations in year 1 and 2 examinations and coursework in year 2.
What will I have at the end of the course?
When you have successfully completed the first year you will gain an AS certificate in Psychology. If you proceed to study the subject in the second year, on successful completion of the course, you will be awarded an A level certificate in Psychology.
What next?
This course will be very useful if you are hoping to follow a degree course in social sciences, law, medicine or education. The study of psychology also helps to develop skills which will be useful if you wish to pursue a career in the public sector, for example, nursing, teaching, the police service, or social work. It can also be useful if you go on to study journalism, market research, advertising, product design, ergonomics, etc.
