Course Content
This 36-week course is designed to enhance students' prospects of gaining employment in a range of Public Service occupations. Students will also study an NCFE in Outdoor Leadership.
Study units include:

• Uniformed Public Services Employment;
• Public Service Skills;
• Uniformed Public Service Fitness;
• Adventurous Activities and Teamwork for the Public Services;
• Expedition Skills;
• The Value of Sport and Recreation in the Public Services.

Teaching/Assessment
The course is taught through a range of practical assignments, visits and classroom based sessions. Work experience is part of the course.
Assessment is through ongoing coursework.
Progression
Successful students need to gain a Merit profile on this course in order to progress onto a Level 3 Public Service or related course.
Additional Information
Minimal costs may be required for educational visits and outdoor pursuits.
