Teaching/Assessment
The Tourism Academy aims to bring together strands of study to meet the needs of business, education and students.
The strands of study include:
A mix of academic and vocational qualifications;
Help with job skills leading to a skills passport;
Extra support including visits and conferences to increase your industy knowledge;
5-8 weeks of related full time work experience.
Four GCSE subjects at Grade C or above or a pass at a BTEC First Diploma in a related subject.
A sensible and responsible attitude with a special interest in Travel and Tourism are essential as well as the ability to deal with people and work with others.

Students on this course will be charged for a Criminal Records Bureau [CRB] check. The current cost is £36. Students can apply to the Financial Contingency Fund [FCF] to cover the cost of a CRB check.
Costs include a complusory residential in Year 2, trips and visits organised in relation to the course and uniform [approx costs = Year 1 £100, Year 2 £350.]
