Course Content:
Subjects studied include five core units:
- The industry
- The business of travel and tourism
- Marketing travel and tourism products and services
- Tourist destinations
- Customer service
You will also have the opportunity to study from 12 specialist units such as:
- Retail travel operations
- Tourism development
- Holiday representatives
- Conferences
- Exhibitions and events
- Hospitality operations in travel and tourism
- Airfares and ticketing Levels 1 &2
- Languages
- Galileo
Work Experience / Practical Experience:
Work experience and related visits are an important part of this course.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should have:

Entry Process:
All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor, allowing you to find out more and check that the course is the best option for you. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.
Assessment:
You will be assessed through coursework and an Integrated Vocational Assignment (IVA).
Progression Routes:
Further study at HND or degree level.
Career Options:
Employment in a variety of travel and tourism related organisations such as tour operators, airlines, hotels or travel agencies.
