All students will be invited in for an interview and initial assessment or successful completion of the Level 2 Award or similar qualification.

Is this course for you
This course is a continuation of the Level 2 course and will allow students to gain the Level 3. The course is a City and Guilds programme which can be used as part of an advanced modern apprenticeship.

What will you study
The student will diagnose and repair faults on the following system: Petrol & Diesel Engines * Lubrication and Cooling * Engine Management * Transmissions Systems * Self Levelling Suspension Systems * Power Assisted Steering Systems * Electrical and Electronic Systems.
How will you be assessed
Assessments will be carried out in the workshop with students constructing a portfolio. Online exams for each unit the student undertakes will also be required.
What can you do after course
Students completing this course will be given preference when modern apprentices/employment vacancies become available. This will allow them to carry on and complete an NVQ Level 3 or an advance modern apprenticeship.
