Hairdressing VTCT SVQ Level 3
This course is designed to allow you to develop the skills required to gain employment as a hair stylist within the hairdressing industry. You will develop skills in advanced hairdressing such as cutting, specialist and corrective colour techniques, styling and dressing hair and long hair work. Your creativity and artistic skills will be also be enhanced throughout the course.

During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of linked activities including visits to trade fairs and exhibitions and the chance to participate in hairdressing competitions, presentations and demonstrations.

You will be assessed during the course by carrying out practical treatments in the commercial salons and by completing written assessments, projects and assignments.
You are required to purchase a hairdressing kit, appropriate protective clothing and textbooks.

Further Study/Employment
This course prepares you for employment as a stylist within the hairdressing industry. You can also progress to HNC Hairdressing.

Duration: 1 year full time, with one twilight class per week
