Healthcare HNC
The HNC Healthcare is intended for students wishing to pursue a career in nursing or one of the health-related professions. An important part of the course is taken up with placement in a health care setting which will enable you to relate learning within the classroom to the practice setting. You will undertake a range of subjects that include: anatomy and physiology for health care, health policy, psychology and sociology in care, calculations and practical techniques, and principles and practice in health care.

All subjects will be taught and assessed as a continuous process, with no end of course examinations. A combination of workbooks, log books practical activities, and written assessments are used to assess the level of knowledge and understanding.

Further Study/Employment
After successful completion of the course you can progress on to a number of health related degree programmes as well as the Diploma year of BA Education and Social Services.
