The course includes both the theoretical and practical aspects of performance. You will be able to specialise in dance,acting or study a combination of both. Depending on your chosen area you will study units such as; Singing, TV & radio, Choreography and Physical Theatre. Students will be involved in a variety of performance projects. Recent performances include: Shut Up, Lunch in Venice.
About this course
Students 16 years of age and over should normally have achieved 4 GCSE's at grade A* - C or above, or an equivalent qualification. Mature applicants may be considered without formal qualifications at the discretion of the faculty.

Course Content

Performances are staged at the college and in external professional and site-specific venues
The course has a strong link with professional performers and companies including ELAN Wales.
The course has received National recognition with performances across Europe and in London.
You may study an additional Award in Acting, Dance or Technical Theatre.
Career Prospects and Progression
National Diplomas provide an excellent basis for progression to Higher level qualifications such as Degrees or Employment within the Creative Industries. Careers that are directly related include Professional Performance,Dance, Stage Management, Arts Administration, Drama/Dance Teacher, Workshop Leadership or Arts Production. Other careers where the skills developed would be useful include Youth and Community Work, Marketing or Communication.
