Course Content:
The basics – security and safety, passwords, viruses, storage, managing files and folders.
The internet and email – searching, sending and receiving emails, contacts lists, organising your inbox.
Word processing – formatting text and documents, tables, mail merge, graphics.
Spreadsheets – entering, editing, sorting and filtering data, formatting and formulas.
Charts and graphs – producing different types of charts and graphs: bar, column, line and scattergraphs and pie charts.
Presentations – understanding, making and editing presentations.
Databases – sorting and filtering data, running queries and reports
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continually through the development of an individual learning plan.
The end test is made up of a number of tasks based around one main theme, including:
Using the internet
Working on a spreadsheet
Producing a document in a word processing program.
