This programme is for those working in the Furniture/ Cabinet Making/ Furniture Installation industries who have already gained a Level 2 qualification, it will provide them with formal qualifications in Making and Installing Furniture and provide them with further skills in Cabinet Making, Technical Drawing, Health and Safety, Customer Relations, Workflow Improvement.
Part of the programme will be studied at college on a day release basis and part will be completed by collecting evidence in a portfolio and being assessed in the work place.
Hence, the fact that the candidate will need to have employment in the right sector, i.e. furniture making, kitchen/ cabinet fitting, furniture installation.
What modules are covered?Work/ Competence Based part of the Apprenticeship.
Candidates must achive the ONE mandatory unit and FIVE or more optional units, at least ONE from set A and the other FOUR from set A or set B
