Financial Information
If you are aged 16-18 and study on a full-time, further education programme then your course is free.
If you are over 18 then grants and loans may be available to help towards course fees.
Is it for me?
Yes, if you want to go onto study law at university or other related subjects, or join a law related profession. Law also develops advocacy skills which are very useful for a range of humanities degrees.
What do I need?
You will need GCSEs in English, Mathematics etc. at grade C and above.
Assessment
You will be assessed by an examination in each Unit (of which there are three Units in AS Law and three Units in A2 Law.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught by a variety of teaching methods and a number of resources, together with a visit to the Law Courts.
What qualification will I get?
You will get an AS Law qualification after the 1st year which is worth half a full A Level. After the 2nd year you will get an A2 in Law AQA specification 6160
Can I go onto further study?
You can go onto University to study Law or any other subject of your choice at Degree level.
What are the career opportunities?
Work in the Probation Service. The Police Force, training in the Legal Profession, Management, Accounting etc.
