2. Course description A level Dance encourages creativity imagination and the analysis of your own work and the work of progessional dancers and choreographers. You will study performance skills choreography contemporary dance technique and performance analysis. You will partcipate in practical sessions aimed at developing your own ability as a dancer in preparation for performance regular choreographic workshops and theory based lessons to develop your understanding of dance and appreciate the integration of theory and practice.

3. Entry requirements A minimum of 2 B grades and 3 C grades in a variety of GCSE subjects with a B in English Language and successfully pass an audition. This will be arranged after your admissions interview. 4. Equipment required Please enquire at your interview. 5. Assessment method As Year: 60% Practical Examination in 2 parts: 2-3 minute Solo Choreography & Performance. Performance in a duo or trio. 40% Written Exam: Understanding Dance- 90 minute written paper. A2 Year: 50% Practical Examination in 2 parts: 2-3 minute Group Choreography. Performance of a solo. 50% Written Exam: Dance Appreciation- 90 minute written paper.
