The study programme offers a provision of resources, materials and equipment offering a wide variety of research and artistic processes such as drawing, painting and 3D. A variety of techniques including sculpture in mixed media and printmaking using screen printing and mono techniques, are achieved throughout the course.
Students are given the opportunity to explore a wide range of Art and Design activities. Emphasis is placed on practical work with opportunities to explore drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and lens based imaging.
Coursework unit 60%. Suitable for: An Art course will help prepare you to study an Arts based subject at level 3 and students serious about doing this should combine the course with GCSE Photography and GCSE English.
