About the Course

The course is assessed by 20% written work, 20% oral coursework and 60% examination.
*Available to students on Level 3 programmes of study.
Literacy
If a course in GCSE English is inappropriate (e.g. because previous grade an E or below) courses leading to a qualification in Basic Skills are available at level 1 or 2. These allow students the flexibility to progress at their own rate and to take the relevant test when they are ready.
