Course programme
We offer English Language GCSE intensive resit programmes over 32 weeks to adults over the age of 19. These are part-time courses consisting of one 3 hour session per week with a subject specialist tutor. If you are over the age of 19, GCSE English and Maths can form part of your full-time study programme.

The GCSE English Language course develops skills in both spoken and written forms, with a syllabus centred on speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. As well as studying a literary text students will improve all aspects of their written work from spelling and punctuation, to creative and every day composition.
Classroom based study is brought alive through discussion, debate and presentations. Assessments will be through a combination of Controlled Assessments, oral and written, and by one final written examination paper.
Entry Requirements
Successful interview and assessment equivalent to grade D GCSE.
