GCSE English Literature

Course Overview
 
Through reading both classic and modern literature, you’ll discover how writers create enduring stories and characters, and learn the techniques they use to entertain or move readers. As well as looking at prose, you’ll also gain a deeper appreciation of drama and poetry.
 
Pre-requisites
 
You do not need any special qualifications, however you should be able to read and understand basic English.

You will have your own personal tutor helping you with your course work and with any questions you may have.  Plus you can contact our Student Advisors by email or phone for all the practical advice you may need – so we really are with you 100%.
 
Assessment
 
Once you've enrolled on your chosen course(s), you'll receive all the information you need to arrange your own exams, including details of syllabuses, exam boards and dates. Exams are held in various parts of the UK.
 
Exams take place in January and June with the deadlines for submitting coursework being 1st October and 1st February respectively. Please note that exam fees are additional to course fees.
 
NB:  To be able to sit your exams in June the deadline for submitting coursework is the 1st of February, if you have any questions about examinations please contact us.
