Is it for me?
While studying GCSE Mathematics you will be expected to: Use mathematical knowledge and skills to solve problems; Use logic and reason to help solve problems; Break down problems into small steps; Use the mathematics that you learn to solve problems that might occur in real life; Learn how to use a calculator to good effect.

Baltic Campus
You'll be based at our fantastic £39million Baltic campus on the quayside. How will I be assessed?
Number is assessed in November by two written papers, each lasting 45 minutes.
Data Handling is assessed in spring by two written papers, each lasting 30 minutes.
Algebra and Shape, Space and Measure are assessed in June by two written papers, each lasting 1 hour 15 minutes.
In each of the above modules there is one paper where calculators are NOT allowed.

Can I go on to further study?
GCSE Mathematics is an important foundation for many other courses. A lot of jobs and careers ask for GCSE Mathematics (usually grade C) including teaching, engineering, computing, architecture and medicine.
