2. Course description On this intensive course, you will complete five pieces of written coursework and possibly three assessed oral assignments in the first term. Coursework includes essays on Shakespeare and on a prose text, a poetry assignment and two pieces of creative writing. You will study a collection of poetry and practice comprehension based on broadsheet articles and other nonfiction material. A high standard of accuracy is needed to achieve a grade C or above so students are expected to work hard on their grammar, spelling, punctuation and essay planning. Study times are one class of 3 hours per week. We offer daytime classes and also evening classes from 5.45pm - 9.00pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
