Description
This
one-year GCSE core science course is suitable for students requiring a
science at GCSE level, or those who wish to improve GCSE science grades.
Course

The course includes the following modules

3. Products from rocks

Oils, earth and atmosphere
5. Energy and electricity
6. Radiation
and the universe
After completing this course you should be able to

courses that require a GCSE grade C pass in science
Students are
reminded that this is an academic course and they must allow time for
private study and home assignments in addition to lectures.
Where a
course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all
students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
This
coursework assessment of practical skills and investigative skills
accounts for 25% of the total marks.
The written papers account for
75% and are in the form of 6 multiple choice module tests taken in
November, March and June.
