Course Content: The course covers basic lab. procedures and safety, units in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a unit on developing investigative skills, and a unit on ideas and evidence in science. Special Features: The course is assessed on a continuous basis, as opposed to end-of-year examination. Assessment is via class-based activities, home-based assignments, practical reports and short tests. This continuous assessment means that you can monitor your progress as you work through the programme.

Progression: The course is recognised as being suitable for progression onto teacher training courses at Manchester Metropolitan University. It will also provide a good basis for studying the level 3 programme for Science and Medically related pathway careers.
