Why study GCSE Spanish?
Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world. Twenty-two countries have Spanish as their
first language. These countries are developing increasingly strong business and tourism links with Britain. GCSE
Spanish will provide the foundation for further study of Spanish or will be a useful qualification for the world of work.

What do I study?
This is an intensive course (no previous knowledge of Spanish is necessary). The course will enable students to acquire a good command of the language in most areas of everyday life in a Spanish speaking country.

Where does GCSE Spanish take me?
If you do not wish to pursue the study of the language at A-level, a good command of-working' Spanish will be a
strong asset in the following vocational areas: Travel and Tourism, Banking/Commerce, Secretarial Studies, Business Studies.
