General Education: Pathways

Course Description
This course is designed for those who dont yet have the qualifications which would admit them to NQ, Access or HNC/HND courses in a Further Education College. Also ideal for those who left full-time education some time ago and who feel they would benefit from a well supported introductory year before progressing.

Preferred Entry Requirements
No prior qualifications are required and even if you left full-time education some time ago the Pathways programme offers a way back to learning. Entry is by informal interview.

Course Duration: 1 academic year

End Date: Jun-10
Hours per week: 21 hours

Course Content
As well as bringing your communication and numeracy skills up to the required standard, well help you master basic IT skills, study skills, and personal effectiveness. The programme also includes a range of business-related skills and other options.

Progression
Most likely routes will be either a College NQ or Access Programme. Students will also have qualifications which should offer new and wider employment opportunities.
