This progaramme has been designed to satisfy candidates who want a foundation in engineering skills and wish to acquire engineering competences in a sheltered, controlled environment.
This level 1 learning area programme includes a PEO level 1 certificate, GCSE Maths/English resits (as required) and Welsh Baccalaureate at level 1.

About this course
Progression and Employment:
The programme provides evidence that you can do a particular job or skill to level 1 standard and may help you progress to employment or to a higher level NVQ/BTEC or similar qualification.
It will develop learners with broadbased engineering skills and help them decide on a particular engineering specialisation (ie. mechanical, electrical or welding). Progression would usually be to the General Engineering 2 learning area programme.
