Course programme

Students on this course are seriously motivated to improve their practical English language skills, for general, work or study purposes.

The courses are challenging, but lively and enjoyable, ensuring that students progress quickly to the level of competence that they require.

Active participation is our key to improving fluency in English. The system taught at ELSL, ensures that students gain the maximum exposure to the English language. At every opportunity, students are encouraged to extend and practise their skills, in the safety of the classroom, in readiness for the 'real world'. Active preparation in the classroom builds fluency and confidence and, during the lessons, students are introduced to a number of everyday situations, which are designed to ensure that relevant and useful skills are developed, that will allow our students to cope better with their daily lives.

The General English lessons

ELSL is open from 09.00 - 21.00, seven days a week, all year round. Typically, lessons are taught in blocks of three hour-long sessions (please see the time-slots below). Students can study part-time (6 hours per week), or full-time (15 hours per week). There is a minimum of two weeks of enrolment. There is no maximum amount of time that a student is required to study, although it is obviously beneficial to the development of the students English skills, to attend this course for the amount of time they need to become fully competent in the the language.

AFTERNOON : 12.00 - 15.00
