This single honours course is based on the same principles as single honours German, but allows you to include a substantial proportion of study in Psychology. German is the major subject which counts for two thirds of your degree, and Psychology is the minor subject which counts for the remaining third.

About this course
The course aims to enable understudies to: Develop translation and reading comprehension skills through the study of texts and audio visual materials varying in tone and register.
Demonstrate an ability to paraphrase selected German texts.
Demonstrate an understanding of key grammatical structures and use more complex grammatical constructions in set grammar exercises and essay writing.
Apply new areas of vocabulary to written work.
Studying Modern Languages opens the door to a wide variety of careers. Many Bangor Modern Languages graduates have, of course, gone into teaching and translating, but just as many have embarked upon successful careers in the civil service, business and commerce, industry and the media.
