The Global MBA, delivered through distance learning, enables you to maintain your career and to study at times which fit in with your personal and work demands. As you progress through the Global MBA you can apply the latest management thinking directly to your workplace.
The distance learning mode of delivery on the Global MBA does not compromise the quality of your MBA experience. We bring the University to you, and provide you with a virtual learning environment that is both challenging and supportive. Tutors facilitate structured online debates on business issues, in groups of around 25 involving students from all over the world. This global classroom enables international experiences to be shared and networks to develop; it provides both companionship and support, features that are often missing on distance learning MBA programmes.
The Global MBA has two intakes each year, in January and July, and can be completed in 30 months. Examinations can be taken at more than 200 examination centres worldwide and special centres can be established if required.
Oxford Brookes University offers you three ways to achieve your MBA - your degree certificate will state 'Oxford Brookes MBA'. The Business School is renowned for excellence in teaching and learning, influencing our approach to supporting learners and working creatively. Our Global MBA programme is unique in the way that it is delivered, ensuring that you remain engaged with your tutors and tutor group, providing opportunities for interaction with professionals and managers across the globe.

The Global MBA programme begins with online induction to ensure that you get to know other students and your tutors, familiarise yourself with the online Virtual Campus and Virtual Library, understand the programme requirements and expectations, and how you prefer to learn, and the implications of this for your studies. We recognise that students come from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds and a range of additional materials are available to help you, for example, preparing for examinations, the use of theories and concepts in management education and analysing case studies.
For each module on the programme you are allocated a tutor and a tutor group, which will include students from around the world. In addition, you are linked to geographical study groups, which engage more informally, to support and challenge each other and many of these groups continue beyond the MBA.
You can also contact your tutor at any time using the mailbox on the Virtual Campus or by telephone. The Global MBA Programme Director and Course Manager are here to discuss issues that may be impacting on your studies and the MBA Programme Administrators help with any administrative issues.
