Course programme

The ANU College of Law Military Law program covers the LTM2 and 3 levels of the ADF competency scheme for ADF legal officers.

The Graduate Certificate of Military Law requires the completion of 24 units, which must consist of:

24 units from completion of the following compulsory courses:

LAWS8160 Military Discipline Law

LAWS8161 Military Legal Practice

LAWS8162 Military Operations Law

LAWS8163 Military Administrative Law




This program is restricted to approved Defence personnel who hold a Bachelors of Laws, Juris Doctor or international equivalent qualifying the candidate for admission to legal practice in Australia.
It is only open to nominees of the Department of Defence.
All applicants must meet the University’s English Language Admission Requirements for Students
