Course programme

The program combines research and coursework, with a strong focus on fieldwork, classroom research and workplace documentation.
Courses are offered face to face, after hours.
Students complete two courses for the Graduate Certificate and four courses for the Graduate Diploma.
Masters students undertake four courses plus the dissertation.

Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics Areas of Specialisation The Discipline of Applied Linguistics, a scholarly research community, is internationally recognised for research in the areas of: ecolinguistics language planning language testing multiliteracies and e-learning environments social practices and language learning workplace communication.
Example Study Plan To qualify for the Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 24 units.
Students must complete:24 units from the courses listed in 1.

1 and a major in TESOL comprising 12 units of courses listed in 1.
